Fixing a previous partners failed implementation

Pros
When we first met Fenwick Software we were looking for a bolt on Hire solution which Fenwick could offer. After the initial presentation I asked the consultant what they thought of our current implementation by another partner. I had concerns that the software was not performing as well as it should. After only minutes, I was asked "where are the dimensions", "why are your accounts set up this way" and other similar questions confirming that the install was flawed. We had Fenwick reinstall NAV and install some of their FG modules. NAV is now stable, reporting as it should using dimensions, we now have a happier team thanks to their efforts. Their consultants are very professional and extremely knowledgable and I would and have recommended them to manage NAV implementations and maintenance.
Cons
Fenwich Gold Production Scheduler does not have a manual, like most software developers they rely heavily on Microsoft NAV manuals and training literature which is vast and time consuming to find what you need.
Additional Comments
Fenwick has a great experienced team - the consultants that sell the product are the consultants that install the product. They are extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the background programming of NAV.

Tender, installation and support for Microsoft Navision

Pros
Fenwick are a very professional and well organised company to do business with. From the outset when receiving a response to our tender, to demonstrating the NAV product, conducting user training, right through to Go-Live and customer support, their performance has always been punctual and thorough. Most of Fenwick's staff are long serving employees who know Microsoft NAV intimately, which makes getting answers to questions an easy process. Being a not for profit agency, cost was always going to be a key criteria for Lentara. Fenwick's tender was very competitive. The project was delivered on time and under budget, including mods and customisations. The Fenwick's team helped us through each step of the process, and were a delight to work with. Their insights and advice was key to a successful implementation. I highly recommend Fenwick as a solutions provider.
Cons
Some of the printed training materials were lacking a few topics covered in the training, as well as some detailed steps of how to perform a task. This hampered my team from performing some tasks when on their own after Go-Live.
Additional Comments
I was surprised to learn that Navision does not have many standard finance reports already set up and available to users. Perhaps Fenwick could develop and include some good P&L and balance sheet reports to include with the product. Other than this thought, Fenwick have been an excellent partner in delivering a fully functioning finance system, and I look forward to their support with NAV into the future.

Implementation of Enwis at an E-waste Company

Pros
Fenwick supported our company through a natinoal roll out of enwis and Navision. They were professional, very close to budget, and we went online 3 days early. You can just tell that Andrew has been with the company for a very long time, and his experience in this business gave us the confidence that fundamentally changed the way our whole business operates. Steve's (and Andrew's) knowledge and ability to hear and deliver exactly what we asked made the modifications and changes necessary to relate to our business, including advanced reporting, integrated invoicing through different setups etc. I can confidently say that we definitely made the right choice when it came to introducing a new system to our business, and would recommend Fenwick to other businesses looking at using this type of software. Together we achieved in 4 months what our overseas counterparts hadn't achieved in 3 years.
Cons
Being price conscious, they were too keen to quote and install variation orders as we requested them. There were some issues after Go Live, which Fenwick did help with.

Highly recommend Fenwick for an experienced, well thought through, professional approach to new systems in your business.

Install and ongoing operational support for Navision add-on enwis)

Pros
Fenwick Software provided a detailed proposal for the Navision ERP including the enwis) recycling management software to the Alex Fraser Group. The requirements, deliverables, scope and pricing were all very well structured and documented. Once the project was approved, it was managed end to end very professionally, and delivered on budget and on time. Since then it has been very easy working with them on support issues, enhancements and upgrades. They have embraced the increasing sophistication of computing environments and have delivered time and again on new features and functionality that are continuing to drive productivity improvements within our organisation. Any issues in any area can be raised with management and are addressed promptly and fairly.
Cons
Initially they had an unhealthy reliance on a few key people and went through the growing pains most organisations face. I don't like their approach to support which is completely T/M based. Other options need to be available which require Fenwick Software to take greater responsibility for the prevention and resolution of issues.

Overall Fenwick Software are a very good company to work with, very good technical and project management skills, professional and with a fair and reasonable approach to business.
